Hands punching a hole in a leather belt on an anvil in the Spokane shop
Since 1964 · Spokane, WA

Made on East Sprague Avenue. Not in a factory.

It started in 2020 at one small table in a dark corner of the Nicks Boots shop.

Customers wanted a belt as rugged as everything else Nicks made. So one maker started building them in the last 30 minutes of his day.

Today a small team turns full sides of American leather into belts by hand.

Cut, stitched, beveled and burnished. One at a time, with solid brass on Chicago screws.

No factory. No filler. Just people who’d rather build it once and build it right.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Will it stretch like my last belt?

At 13 to 15 oz there's enough leather to hold its shape. It reduces stretch and resists warping under tools or gear. All leather relaxes a little as it breaks in.

Can I change the buckle?

Yes. It's held on with Chicago screws, so it comes off easily with a screwdriver.

What if the size is wrong?

We exchange sizes, and new, unworn belts can be returned within 30 days.

What does the guarantee cover?

If your belt fails because of how we made it, we repair or replace it for 10 years: stitching, hardware, rivets and snaps pulling through, leather separating and structural failure. It doesn't cover normal wear, stretching, patina or scuffs.
